Fictitious Liveries
People often say that 9Fs and the like would look good in large logo livery. I'm not convinced ... A better rendition of 9Fs in Large Logo Blue can be found in a later gallery.Previous | NextNew trains were promised if Virgin won the East Coast franchise... :) A4s in Pendolino-style Virgin livery. From Hubert Fingerle at 2006-03-15 07:34:44 : I found the link to your picture gallery in a German railway forum. Your views of fictitious liveries are smashing!!! Your ideas are great, and there must have been a graphics-wizard at work - very well done!!! I best liked the 9F (original picture taken at Ropley????) and the two Bulleid-Pacifics. Both liveries look quite impressive on the engines. Best wishes from Germany Hubert
From chris89 at 2006-11-12 00:46:44 : Got to love 9Fs this livery suits it, strange it might have got it if they didn't have such a short life they could have surrived in to the 80s
From matthew scrutton at 2006-12-31 16:23:24 : I saw a Hornby 9F for sale at an exhibition bring and buy stand, and guess what? It was in this livery, wish I'd bought it then I'd have a modern image loco! The only difference between this pic and the one I saw was that the logo was small, not large. Great repaints!
From Steve at 2007-06-24 19:30:36 : Looks kind of German.
From David Broster at 2008-01-01 20:05:02 : Hubert said: "original picture taken at Ropley????" That's Barrow Hill Preserved Roundhouse isn't it, where the shuttle trains run from?
