9Fs in plain BR Blue - which they would undoubtedly have received if they had lived out their planned lifespan in traffic. From Steve at 2006-08-19 21:01:25 : Mmmm... not bad. I wonder what the logo would look like wrapped around the boiler? I guess Crewe would have been fitting them with gas producer fireboxes, boosters, feedwater heaters, roller bearings on all axles, Lempor ejectors .... Imagine.
From Murray at 2006-08-28 10:01:12 : It's alright, but personally I prefer the plain blue version. I'm not sure the yellow cabs really work in what is effectively the middle of the engine-yellow tender ends would have been more likely, I think.
From islandbridgejct at 2007-09-13 00:53:34 : This is the best of the 9Fs, but try the smokebox in all-over yellow, and maybe drop the yellow lower down.
