Rebuilt West Country in South West Trains livery - not as easy or effective as on the streamlined Pacifics. White paint on a steam loco? Hmm.

Fictitious Liveries
One for Great Western fans... Incidentally the 0-6-0 diesel was already that colour, and the out-of-gauge guy on the furthest Prairie is a certain Mr Waterman.Previous | NextI'm trying to image what circumstances might have caused this... A Thumper in InterCity Swallow.

From Martyn Read at 2006-08-12 21:36:59 : You're right, worked better on the 'smooth sided' ones. Very impressed that you managed to get it looking 'weathered' as well!
From Scott McAvoy M.B.E at 2006-08-14 10:49:12 : Put Southern liveries on the Spamcans. It would suit their smooth sides. mmmmmm
From 89002 formerly Phil S at 2006-08-27 16:16:41 : hey guys try this in GNER and an pacific in GNER too
From roo2808 at 2007-04-02 17:21:20 : More More More. GREAT SITE!!!!!!
From Ian at 2007-07-03 21:04:51 : LIke the idea of a 9F in HST Blue/Grey with a full rake of MK3 coaches and correct power car at the rear. A great site and plenty to have a good laugh at. Some actually look better than the real thing did or actually do now. Keep up the excellent work, and rats to the purists.
From Olly at 2008-04-08 15:38:46 : Note the relection in the puddle on the bottom left... ;)
From BusDriverMan at 2009-01-01 22:32:13 : The SR wanted to keep steam on the Waterloo-Exeter line until it could be electrified, which would have meant keeping these until the 70s. This was politically unacceptable, so the BRB very suddenly transferred all the Southern routes west of Salisbury to the WR, who had the diesel-hydraulics. It's an interesting 'what-if' though - if the SR had kept steam and the Exeter route until the 70s, then electrified the route and introduced a Mk2-based 442-style unit!
