From Alasdair Hepburn at 2006-11-23 00:23:20 : Interesting one. Makes it look more like a Deltic.
Surely though, it should be electric blue for the 1960s.
Or, how about rail blue for a 1970s look?
From Andy at 2006-11-23 10:53:57 : Looks quite smart, actually!
From Steady Eddie at 2006-11-23 16:13:25 : OH NO!! Very plain, bland, boring etc.. Hope it doesn't end up in this livery for real !!??!! I personaly think it should be repainted in its origianl livery - Or (just for fun) black & white like a badger ;-)
From llamafish at 2006-11-23 20:30:38 : yea, that would be cool!
From Andy at 2006-11-25 15:39:09 : Okay as a "fictitious livery" but not in the real world thank you.
From Doddy at 2006-11-25 18:15:27 : Not sure about this one. I don't dislike it but........
Agree with Alasdair Hepburn - Electric Blue for the 1960s on an electric loco.
From The Master at 2006-11-25 18:19:03 : An Electric Blue 89 has already been done on the site. Why would he do it again?
From at 2006-11-26 11:42:43 : i reckon if you were able to do so leave it in the gner livery an replace the "GNER" with ACLG like the shot on your homepage last week...
other than that id go for BR Blue as aplied to the 87's...
From Tom Curry at 2006-11-26 14:10:18 : Well it is nicknamed the Electric Deltic in some circles. I think it suits the livery. Personally the only livery that doesn't suit this superb loco is the original Intercity livery. There was just something not quite flowing about the front end.
From Jez Smith at 2006-11-26 16:40:03 : SWALLOW!!
From Gaz at 2006-11-26 22:56:40 : Try telling our lass that!
From David Broster at 2006-11-29 19:42:23 : Nah, this livery does not suit this loco. I like the Electric Blue idea, or the GNER blue/red with ACLG on, sounds gud!, but how about original GNER-style with white lettering?
From Chris M at 2006-12-02 16:56:27 : Not in real life, obviously, but I wouldn't mind seeing this loco in Virgin red/silver livery and Blue Pullman as well. It might look good in Royal train colours as well - it would certainly befit its status.
I also like the black and white "badger" livery suggestion!
From Beej at 2007-07-24 09:51:28 : Well I like it!! Looks neat.
