From Nyall trainmad at 2007-10-14 17:20:56 : there i was thinking that pacers actually did carry network south east
come to think of it, i have never seen one in this livery!
From Scott McAvoy M.B.E at 2007-10-14 17:49:49 : Blimey! I can imagine these on the Seaford branch, the sound of squeeling flanges echoing across Bishopstone!
No thank you! I'll stick to my 377!
From Bjmorley at 2007-10-20 21:36:31 : nice livery, just a shame its on a pacer
From David Broster at 2007-10-21 14:04:14 : COOL!:D How about one of these in SWT - imagine if these were the regular diet for Waterloo-Salisbury etc? :P
From Russell Burgess at 2007-11-14 19:49:45 : This actually reminds me of my 3D model of a Network SouthEast Class 141 and the first reaction was one of laughter.
By the way, the cab flashes just don't look right on the cab front, it looks flat against the cabfront to my eyes and I don't think they'd be going to Lancaster, I think more like "Yeovil Junction" :)
Now, who would like to "skip" from London to Exeter, Brighton to Reading or (just to upset a group!) London to Portsmouth during the rush hour with just one of these units?
(for fear of hijacking, I wont reproduce the 141 image here!)
From Daniel Read at 2007-11-27 14:08:25 : I think the passengers would prefer the class 377. This seems like it on a northern local service in Rotherham or somewhere like that!
From Dave at 2007-12-19 21:06:18 : Looks more like a north-west coast line train via Morecambe and Whitehaven or something like that. Looks great though :D
From Matt Concannon at 2008-02-11 16:57:59 : A Pacer in Network Southeast? Well if the St Albans branch hadn't been electrified then one of these nodding and squeeling its way out of Watford Junction could have been a possibility. Silverlink nearly bought the spare 141's for the Bedford/Bletchley line as it was.
From j......... at 2008-03-25 20:39:51 : Pacers are Rubbish
From Jon at 2008-07-11 21:30:43 : Just a heads up - the picture is taken at Whitehaven on Platform 1, on either a Carlisle-Lancaster service (approx 1-2pm) or an early morning Whitehaven-Lancaster (much less likely, it's clearly later in the day). It's Mid afternoon, by the looks of things, the sun is out over the sea (to the south of the Isle of Man). So, what's a Network train doing all the way up on the Cumbrian Coast Line? ;)
From L. E. Greys at 2008-09-07 21:02:20 : It's presumably doing the same thing as an EMU in Stansted Express livery was doing in the platforms at Waverley. All the same, thank goodness we were spared Bendy-buses on the Oxted line. Look superb, though.
