Fictitious Liveries
An alternative BR livery on a Polish '83'!Previous | NextHere's one that came true. I created this mock-up of a Polish EP07 to assist with the repaint of a real EP07 for a special event. It was obviously convincing, as two magazines printed it as the real thing! The real loco, EP07-1051, can be seen in the inset photo by R. Boduszek.

From nyall Trainmad at 2008-02-15 11:43:40 : The livery does suit this locomotive. Made a good job there of the livery considering it has only been out for a few months.
From dan griffiin at 2008-02-15 18:04:33 : simply stunning, will any livery look good on the 89? ive yet to see one that doesnt!
From Martin at 2008-02-15 22:04:40 : Yayyy! A grey and white badger - just like the real thing.....
From Paul87025 at 2008-02-17 19:50:23 : ... & a damn sight better than a 90. Bring it on.
From Matthew Harbon at 2008-02-18 19:11:35 : WOW! Make it real PLZ
From David Broster at 2008-02-19 20:26:06 : dan griffiin said: simply stunning, will any livery look good on the 89? ive yet to see one that doesnt! Will 'dynamic lines' - hint hint, Owen! :D
From David Broster at 2008-02-19 20:26:47 : But yes, that's simply marvellous, I hope to goodness they acquire that beastie back out of preservation, or lease it, thus ensuring there's no risk of a scrap-man acquiring her!
From L. E. Greys at 2008-02-19 23:22:08 : If things had worked out differently, we might be seeing these lined up at King's Cross. The livery does look a bit like undercoat, especially the coach version, but the 89 looks good in anything. I wonder what an apple green version might look like . . .
From Owen at 2008-02-20 08:31:20 : Dynamic lines? Already done. It's just not up here yet.
From Arthur Cannings at 2008-02-20 12:53:06 : Love the 89 in the NX livery, how about trying in Freightliner Green/Yellow or triple grey with Speedlink Markings..... or am i getting silly???
From Arthur Cannings at 2008-02-20 12:54:39 : What qwe need now is a model of the 89 so that these pics can be tried out in true 3d style..
From Dan Adkins at 2008-02-24 10:52:06 : What about a London Midland (350 style), do you reckon that will work?!
From nxea321446 at 2008-03-14 15:54:14 : cool i thought i would never see a class 89 nx livery
From Nicholas Braddick at 2008-03-14 20:18:26 : It would be nice bring the Class 89 back on the mainline again with National Express East Coast (NEEC) services from London Kings Cross to Newcastle and back, and I would like to run again with full working order again with new motors from Brush? I would like to repainted into InterCity 'Swallow' livery in the future, and also look nice to repaint in the NEEC Livery before back on the mainline again with NEEC services again in the future.
From Kieran at 2008-03-18 18:58:23 : Cool
From j......... at 2008-03-26 20:18:11 : Sorry, its never gonna happen
From j......... at 2008-03-26 20:19:08 : When will the dynamic lines arrive? Please hurry it up!
From Al at 2008-04-02 11:12:19 : As it is, until the summer, run by National Express, what about "Darth vadar" 8Gat (class 460) unit in the new NX corporate livery?
From 43001 at 2008-04-07 19:26:59 : Cool! I like it! What about a having a Grand Central version, or even Cross Country?
From daz at 2008-04-07 21:44:15 : That looks really smart, really makes it look like one of the most modern locos on the tracks
From Will at 2008-04-26 08:49:48 : if GNER can do it so can NXEC
From Kieran at 2008-10-05 11:20:18 : How about a Class 89 in old ScotRail? I have asked it for ever and ever and ever so plese do it PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
From Antony at 2008-12-06 14:52:12 : Nice impression, it would be good to see this back on the mainline in this condition, but i fear it would probably fail again :(
